Does she like funk music ?

Give Up The Funk plays anytime Kayla enters a room. Which isn’t as fun as you think it is when you’ve heard it for the 50th time in one week. Luckily for her Kayla is a talented Architect at Woodblock with a strong desire to learn as much as possible in the field, so we put up with the music. It keeps us young. Ok but also the mantis shrimp does this dance that literally makes it look like it’s in an underwater disco and I’m sorry could there be a more perfect spirit animal?

Will there be punch at this party?

Duh, we love a capris sun but you’re obviously alluding to Kayla’s super strength since her spirit animal is also known as the Rainbow Warrior. Did we mention how good we are at this? You see, they have something called a “Superhero Punch”… claws that can snap at 50mph and break glass. So ya, we’re never scared when Kayla’s around… because we’re pretty sure she’s the owner now.

Does she say ‘hella’ a lot?

She may be from the bay area, but shockingly she keeps the vernacular at bay… get it? HA. Having studied at the University of Oregon, she lost the slang and picked up an exacto knife. Kayla joined us straight out of school and during her time with us has worked on a number of projects building her skill set, most recently completing a group of restaurants in Lake Oswego.

Is she that good at pointing in real life?

Look, that’s not for us to say. But yes. She’s pointing 7-8 hours a day around the office. At first it was distracting but now we’ve become accustomed to the swish of the hand, kind of like a working white noise machine. And really handy when you want to feel like you’re being escorted off a plane every time you go to the bathroom.
