DMV Salem.
Salem, OR // 2020
The Salem DMV was a 10,000 Sq Ft adaptive reuse of an existing tire center into the DMV. Due to a tight timeline, we designed and executed a two phase document concurrently with the shell and tenant improvement for project execution. We provided renderings of the building exterior to mock up the refurbished look for the old building and coordinated directly with the state DMV to execute program requirements for the new space.
Durability and function were considered in project materials, as the space would be a heavily used state public facing office. Special attention was also paid to the entry sequence for accessible access including the creation of a prominent entry point, by carving out the corner of the building shell.
